SUMMARY
Opus of poetry songs subtitled “récits et légendes bretonnes en vers” Théodore Botrel, born in 1868 in Dinan, in the Pays gallo (non-Breton), who died in Pont-Aven in 1925, essentially leaves a work of songs which enjoyed unparalleled glory in the first half of the 20th century. Forgotten and vilified, in the second half of the century, it nevertheless deserves, a hundred years later, to be rediscovered and - once placed in its historical context - appreciated at its true value.
