Magnificent religious brass medal representing Saint Christopher helping the baby Jesus to cross a river in an exotic landscape. We can see a cross above a hill in the distance. Back with an intertwined cross and the inscriptions in French "Saint Christophe protégez nous" (Saint Christophe protect us) and "Saint Anne de Beaupré", in memory of the basilica.

"In the Christian tradition, Saint Christopher is the one who 'carries Christ' and helps him overcome obstacles. He is considered the patron saint of travelers and soldiers. (...) The Saint Christopher medal traditionally protects those who undertake a long and difficult journey. By extension, the figure of Christophe has also become the figure of soldiers, train professionals or motorists.

We therefore generally offer a Saint-Christope medal (...) before departure for a long-distance trip. Soldiers who go to garrison or overseas often take a Christophe medal with them. They are also often seen around the necks of motorists, or hanging from the rear-view mirror of a young driver's car who has just obtained his license.

Placing someone under the protection of Saint Christopher is like wishing them a safe journey, that is, arriving safely. Metaphorically, you can also give a Saint Christopher medal to someone who is about to face a difficult event." (Source - Translation from French: Médaille-de-Baptème.fr )
